The District Umpires Clinic will be held Sunday, March 28 at 12:30 pm at Montgomery Central Little League. Current league umpires as well as anyone interested in umpiring in the future are encouraged to attend.

Coaches: Saturday, March 13th is a work day at CNLL, beginning at 9am. We should be able to get out of there by noon.

Each team must have at least one person at work day. Game balls and score books will be passed out, and attendance will be taken. Coaches please notify your player agent who will be representing your team by Thursday.

Junior and Senior League registration and try outs will be held on Saturday 3/13 from 10-4, and Sunday, 3/14 from 1-4 at the CNLL fields.

Registration will remain open until Wednesday at noon for age 5-12. Register online , or you may register at Page's Clarksville Sporting Goods.

Junior and Senior League (age 13+) will have signups and tryouts at CNLL on Saturday, March 13 (10am-4pm) and Sunday, March 14 (1-4pm). Those age 13+ who already registered should attend the tryout on one of those days at any time.

Who can play?

CNLL is a Little League for baseball players who are league age 5-18. Click here for age check.
View our League Calendar to see when we begin and end the season.
In order to play at CNLL you must live within the CNLL boundary. View boundary map. Players who live out of the boundary are not eligible to play at CNLL.

How can I register my child?

Register online here!
Register at early signups on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hilldale Baptist Church on Madison St.
Register at player evaluations at CNLL fields on Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 10 am - 2 pm or on Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 1 pm - 3 pm.
If registering in person, please print and complete this registration form.

Who must attend player evaluations?

Players who are new to our league or returning players who are moving up a division MUST attend player evaluations, even if you elect to register early or online. T Ball players (league age 5-6) do not need to attend evaluations.

Cost?

T Ball (league age 5-6) is $55. All other divisions cost $70 per player. Parents registering more than one child will receive a $5 discount.

Advertising on www.clarksvillenational.org can be a great way to drive customers to your business, and support CNLL. CNLL is a volunteer organization - we build and maintain or facilities with the help of our members and donors. Registration fees cover only about 2/3s of the annual cost of our league, the balance comes from advertising, concessions, and donations.

Clarksvillenational.org averages 622 hits per day during the baseball season. Website advertising is featured on the top and bottom of the menu on the right side of the main page. Advertisements are placed in a random rotation each time a new person loads the webpage. No more than 8 ads will be put in the rotation. The cost for a full year is only $250. Email epeay@charter.net for more information.

If you signed your child up for fall ball, you should expect a call from your coach Saturday or Sunday (8/22-8/23).

If you volunteered to head coach a team, you should receive a call from Pat Neal (358-5584, 4cardinalfans@bellsouth.net) Thursday or Friday. There will be a coaches' meeting and workday at CNLL Saturday, August 22 at 9am. At this meeting coaches will receive their rosters and rules.

Fall Ball parents, coaches, and players should check www.clarksvillenational.org daily for updates. This is where we will post information about rain-outs and other schedule changes. We will post such information as soon as a decision is made! Our fields drain well, so show up and plan on playing unless our website announces the games are canceled.

In the 2009 fall ball season, each team will play 10-14 games. The games will be on weekdays only, and begin at 5:30 or 7:30. The younger ages will play only the 5:30 slots and if possible, no games will be scheduled on Wednesdays. The games will begin on Tuesday, September 1st, and continue through late October. When the number of teams is finalized, the schedule will be completed and posted here at www.clarksvillenational.org.

Sign your child up for fall baseball soon! Fall Ball signups will be held Saturday, August 15 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Signups for baseball will be held at our baseball field #2 located behind Barksdale School at 1920 Madison St. Cost is $55 per player. For more information, read below, or contact Pat Neal at 931-358-5584.

League Information

CNLL is a Little League for baseball and softball players who are league age 5-18. Check League Age here http://www.littleleague.org/leagueofficers/Determine_League_Age/League_Age_Calculator.htm
It is not a requirement that you live within the Clarksville National Little League boundary to play fall ball - registration is open to all players.
The season will run from just after Labor Day Weekend until approximately the third week of October.
Games will be played Monday - Friday. Weekend games will not be scheduled.
TBall (5-6 year olds) and Pee Wee (7-8 year olds) divisions will be coach pitch.
Minor (9-10 year olds) and Major (11-12 year olds) divisions will be player pitch.
Players who will move up a division next spring will be eligible to play in that division in fall ball. Example - A player who is league age 8 but will be league age 9 next spring is eligible to play in the Minor (9-10 year old) division. Players who are league age 6 must have completed at least one year of regular season TBall in order to be eligible to play in the Pee Wee (7-8 year old) division.

10s fall to Donelson at State

(Friday, Lebanon, TN) The 10 Blue All-Star team's run in the State tournament came to an end Friday night. The "Cardiac Kids from Clarksville" as someone in Lebanon said, fought to the very end but lost to Donelson 13-4. The 10 Blue team had a great and memorable postseason that saw them play 11 games and winning 9 of them, including 6 games in 7 days at the State Tournament. Another District title was added this year and a 3rd place finish in the State.
As the the disappointed team met for the last time on the field, an age old tradition was carried out of shaking hands and saying........Just wait til next year.

(Lebanon, TN)

After a Rainout on Wednesday the 10 Blue retook the field against District 2 Champion Lawrenceburg. Luke Chilcutt Took the mound for his second start of the Tournament and pitched well but saw visiting Lawrenceburg jump out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning. CNLL tied up the game in the bottom half of the inning and the score remained 1-1 until the top of the third when the normally solid Blue defense had a let down and Lawrenceburg scored 3 runs to make it a 4-1 game. Lawrenceburg added 2 more runs on timely hits to make it a 6-1 lead going into the bottom of the 4th when CNLL added a run on a passed ball to make the score 6-2. Cody Spurgeon came on to pitch and held Lawrenceburg scoreless in the 5th and in the home half of the inning Spencer Jones got the inning started with a single then Luke Chilcutt singled and drove home Spencer, Austin Cherry Walked, and that brought Teal Young to the plate and he promptly Tripled to make the score 6-5. Teal would score on a passed ball and tie the game at 6-6. David Bowman then came to the plate and Lined a shot down the right field line that got into the corner and with a lot of hustle David had an inside the park homerun to propel CNLL into it's first lead of the game at 7-6. Cody Spurgeon with the help of some nice defense pitched a scoreless 6th as CNLL held on to win and run their record to 4-1 in the tournament and set up a Friday night game with District 7 Champion Donelson.

11s run at State ends in 10-9 loss to Morristown. Team finishes in top 4 in state. (Thursday)

The 11 year old CNLL All-Star team held a 9-3 lead after the top of the 5th inning, but could not hold on as Morristown's bats came alive late in the game.

The 11 blue team finished as one of the last 4 teams alive in the state tournament out of 10 teams. This Clarksville National team has won the district 9 championship 5 straight years. In 5 years of district play and 2 state tournaments, they have lost 5 games by a combined total of 6 runs.

11s Beat Smith County 15-3 (Wednesday)

(Newport, Tn. Wednesday). The 11 year old team from Clarksville National picked up tonight right where it left off Monday, scoring an avalanche of runs. Bowling opened the scoring with a 2 run shot in the 1st inning. Peay got the starting nod on the mound, and through the first 4 innings, gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. After 4 innings, the score was tied at 2-2, and the game looked as though it would be a tight one.

In the top of the 5th, the hits started to come for CNLL. Steeter was hit by a pitch, Bowling walked, then Patterson hit a triple, followed by a Yarbrough single, Smith walk, and Reasor home run. 6 runs were plated by CNLL in the inning, stretching the lead to 8-3; the home team from Smith County scored 1 on single.

The sixth inning saw CNLL record 7 more runs on 4 hits, 2 errors, and 2 walks. Streeter went to the mound at the bottom of the 6th and retired the bottom of the lineup in order to end the game at 15-3.

In the game CNLL had 9 hits - 3 of which were home runs, 2 by Bowling and 1 by Reasor. Also recording hits were Smith (1), Yarbrough (2), Patterson (1), and Peay (2). For the game, Peay struck out 8, walked 1, and gave up 5 hits. Streeter struck out 2, walked none, and gave up no hits.

The team is now 3-1 and plays next on Thursday at 5pm eastern time. The field in the state tournament has now been reduced from 10 teams to 4.

(Newport, TN). Monday CNLL 11s returned to form Monday afternoon in Newport beating Mt. Juliet 10-0 in a mercy rule game, and improving to 2-1 for the tournament. The blue team won the coin toss, and Garry Conn climbed the hill for his second time of the tournament. The first inning saw Garry walk the lead off batter, which would prove to be his only walk of the the game. The next 3 batters were retired in order, but CNLL went 3 up, 3 down at the plate.

In the second inning, Conn sat down batters 5, 6, and 7 on strikeouts. CNLL proceeded to plate 5 runs on 6 hits, and never looked back. After a scoreless 3rd inning, CNLL added 4 runs in the 4th. In the 5th inning, Ryan Streeter scored John Austin Peay with 2 outs and 2 strikes on a single to end the game.

Conn threw 45 pitches, walking 1, striking out 6, and giving up 1 hit. Clarksville National's defense returned to old form, making no errors on the night.

CNLL battters recorded 11 hits and no strikouts on the night. The team plays again Wednesday at 5pm Eastern time.

(Newport, TN) Clarksville National 11s lost 9-7 to Greeneville in round 2 of the state tournament at Newport.

(Newport, TN) The Clarksville National 10-11 All-Star team took the field today in the opening game of the state tournament in Newport, Tennessee. John Austin Peay climbed the mound for the Visitors from CNLL and got them out to a 1-0 lead through 2 innings. In the top of the 3rd, Ryan Streeter hit a solo home run to stretch the lead to 2-0. In the the 3rd inning, Johnson City hit a 3 run blast to take a 3-2 lead. Peay recorded 3 strikouts, 4 hits, and 1 walk in 2 1/3 innings of work, and left the mound with his team trailing 3-2.

Garry Conn took the mound after 2 1/3 innings, and found his club down 4-2 after 3 complete innings. The normally solid Blue defense had 3 errors in the 3rd inning.

The top of the 4th saw Matthew Reasor lead off with a solo home run. After a couple of walks, Garry Conn hit a 2 RBI single to retake the lead 5-4. Johnson City American then scored 2 runs on 4 blooper hits to reclaim the lead 6-5.

The 5th inning was a scoreless duel for both teams. In the top of the 6th, CNLL had the top of the order up. With 2 out, and Patterson and Garry Conn on, Ryan Streeter hit a 3 run blast. Conn then shut the door on Johnson City to lock up the round one win. Garry Conn struck out 5, walked none, and gave up 6 hits in his effort for the game.

Clarksville National plays District 4 Champion Greenville in on Sunday at 4pm.
