Parents: Is Your Child's Equipment Safe and Legal?

Please remember that Little League rules prevent the use of painted helmets, or helmets with stickers. Our umpires will not allow painted or stickered helmets to be used in a game, unless factory applied, or approved in writing by manufacturer. Chemicals in the paint may cause the helmet material to degrade and lose strength.

All bats must meet new Little League regulations, which may be found in the Little League Rule Book (See your coach, or order from CNLL website). Regulations require that bats be stamped with a BPF rating of 1.15 or lower. Junior League bats must now have a barrel size of 2 5/8 inches or smaller. For complete requirements, please see the link above.

If your child is a catcher, make sure his catcher's mask has a dangling throat guard. All masks provided by the league have this guard installed. You may purchase a guard for your own mask in the CNLL concession stand. Even the hockey style masks are required to have a dangling throat guard attached.
